Watch as a cooking instructor prepares a balanced meal using the techniques that we study in the Basic series. This class is a “pre-course” offering the opportunity to get a sense of what the Basic classes are all about, with an emphasis on meal composition. It is your chance to get a sense of the endless offerings of “Primary Elements” (whole grain, vegetable, protein) combined with a myriad of “Supporting Elements” (oils, herb/spice,cooking liquids) in the plant based world of food. At the end of the class we will sit down and enjoy a meal together.
Recipes are not part of this class, although “recipe sketches” will be discussed and how they are utilized in the intuitive cooking Basic classes instead of recipes. Please bring a notebook for your purposes of gathering information as Workbooks are only part of the Basic series. As an added bonus, if you register for Basic- Part One and/or Basic- Part Two (prereq. of Basic- Part One) within 3 months of taking the Dinner Class you can reduce your fee for either one of those classes. Per person cost for the dinner class is $65 and the class runs approx. 2 1/2 hours (allowing time for questions and discussion during the meal).
